One of the cultural highlights of the Burgenland district is the Naumburg Cathedral in the district town of Naumburg (Saale). This was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town of Nebra made headlines around the world. The Nebra Sky Disc, which is around 3700 to 4000 years old, is on display there. The landscape is very hilly and is shaped by the rivers Saale, Unstrut and Weißer Elster. Another highlight is the approximately 3700 to 4000 year old Nebra Sky Disc, which is shown in the ARche Nebra.
